Baseline, development and what was observed
The study tracked 1st Response Roofing across a consistent set of natural-language homeowner queries over time. Early testing established a baseline in which the company was generally absent from AI-generated recommendations.
As INDEXIS developed and maintained organized, business-specific knowledge around the company, its services and the situations that bring customers to a roofer, subsequent testing showed a material change in visibility. 1st Response Roofing began appearing repeatedly among businesses recommended by AI for relevant Boulder roofing needs.
The case study includes dated query evidence so readers can examine the progression themselves. Results demonstrate observed performance during the study period and are not a guarantee of future AI recommendations.
What we observed
1st Response Roofing was absent from the captured ChatGPT responses in June and July 2026. In four separate late August tests it appeared first or second, and on September 6, 2026 it appeared second in both direct re-tests of the earlier baseline questions.
What this testing alone cannot establish
